Shopping for the right farm equipment at the best price can be a daunting task. Sometimes you just don’t know where to go. Doing a online search for “tractors for sale” you get bombarded with tons of classified sites from private sellers. The great thing i seem to find about Ebay is that it offers some level of protection but when you search for tractors they don’t do a good job at sorting out the results.They just seem to throw in all the results for tractors in a non organized way, shifting through these results can take hours.

On this blog i tried to sort out the tractors for sale from ebay into well organized catagories. As you can see i sorted out all the top manufactures selling tractors.

John Deere 3005 tractors

With 27 horsepower and a 3 cylinder engine the 3005 John Deere compact tractor provides a higher level of power for your tough farming jobs. It boast a Yanmar diesel liquid cooled TNV series engine. The performance enhancements make driving around obstacles easier with a standard power steering that is optional on 2 WD models.You can make shorter turns for those tough corners using the individual pedals which allow independent operation of the left and right brakes. If you need to transport straight line stops the pedals can be locked together and for more traction and pulling power you can turn on the 4WD system with a standard differential lock that can be engaged on the go. For your hydraulic applications there is a dual hydraulic gear pumps, which are off the crankshaft that provide higher capacity.

For driver comfort the driver’s seat is designed for easy entry and exit with steps and handrails on the left side. The high backed seating offers great support for your back while sitting down, also the for and aft are adjustable and the seat flips the other way to protect you from outside factors. The control panel for the drivers include an hourmeter and tachmeter, oil pressure gauge, fuel gauge. Alternator indicator lights, coolant gauge and many warning lights for other various components.

The John Deere 2305 is a 4wd Compact Utility tractor with the power of a 3 cylinder diesel engine and 24 Horsepower.  The performance enhancements implement a differential lock which increases the traction and pulling power and the rear an mid PTO’s are independent from each other. A speed selection is much easier with the hydro transmission without clutching or even shifting for directional changes.

The power steering provides plenty of comfort along with the optional cruise control. You can have a more pleasant ride thanks to the engine isolators and reduce the noise and vibration. The high contoured seat, which is suspended, adds a lot of comfort when sitting.

If your tractors start to run dry all you need to do is refuel and restart thanks to the auto-bleed fuel system. The wet disk brake also applies more reliability for your braking system. Extra safety measures are also incorporated in the tractor with a roll guard and ROPS seat belts.

The 2305 also has plenty of tractor attachments to choose from including a limited category 1 three-point hitch, quick hatch, an a quick park loader.

Recently i was in a South American country where farming is the main occupation. Everywhere i would visit i would see a tractor in the garage or yard. One of the lessons i learned there was that when driving a Combine thru the streets it is a good idea to drive half on the dirt and half on the road. The reasoning is that it will get too hot and start melting away at the asphalt.

Has anyone heard of this?

You should always maintain your tractor for saftey and usage reasons. A well maintainted tractor can last you longer and work more efficiantly.
