Driving a Combine

Recently i was in a South American country where farming is the main occupation. Everywhere i would visit i would see a tractor in the garage or yard. One of the lessons i learned there was that when driving a Combine thru the streets it is a good idea to drive half on the dirt and half on the road. The reasoning is that it will get too hot and start melting away at the asphalt.
Has anyone heard of this?

it has a majestic performance and first time i saw this tractor in discovery channel and i m totally impressed .
and i want to purchase ths tractor.
